The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students, with the objective of imparting quality education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has been a pioneer in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with core research and development in Power Electronics and Power Systems for many decades. It is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities such as Engineering Practices Lab, Electric Circuits Lab, Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits Lab, Computer Programming Lab, Electrical Machines I & II Lab, Control and Instrumentation Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers Lab, and Power System Simulation Lab. The department has a young, dynamic, and qualified team of teaching faculty and non-teaching staff. It continuously grows in terms of academic performance, placements, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, projects, and consultancy activities. Electrical and Electronics Engineering professionals are responsible for specification, design, development, and implementation of systems and products, along with research to create innovative ideas and technologies.
To foster the students with technical competence in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and to take up challenging roles in research and entrepreneurship for building a better world
Provide quality technical education with modern labs Promote innovation through industry and academic collaboration Build strong technical, communication, teamwork, and ethical skills
1. Find employment in Core Electrical and Electronics Engineering and service sectors.
2. Get elevated to technical lead position and lead the organization competitively.
3. Enter into higher studies leading to post-graduate and research degrees. Become consultant and provide solutions to the practical problems of core organization.
4. Become an entrepreneur and be part of electrical and electronics product and service industries.
On completion of Electrical and Electronics Engineering program, the student will have the following Program Specific Outcomes.
1. Foundation of Electrical Engineering: Ability to understand the principles and working of electrical components, circuits, systems and control that are forming a part of power generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, conservation and energy saving. Students can assess the power management, auditing, crisis and energy saving aspects.
2. Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve problems related with electrical engineering using appropriate engineering tools and algorithms.
3. Computing and Research Ability: Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution which leads to new ideas and innovations.
