ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Governing Council, besides being the supreme administrative authority of the college, shall have the following additional functions:

To develop and review policies related to academic standards, admissions, faculty appointments, student affairs, and other relevant areas.

To ensure that the policies align with the mission and goals of the engineering college.

Review and assess the effectiveness of existing strategies and propose new ones as needed.

Review and approve the annual budget.

Evaluate the performance of top leadership and make recommendations for improvement or renewal.

Allocate resources such as funding, faculty positions, and infrastructure based on the college's priorities and needs.

Monitor and assess the quality of education and research programs.

Implement mechanisms for continuous improvement.

Review reports from various departments and committees within the college.

Provide guidance and feedback on recommendations.

Identify and assess risks to the college and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Maintain oversight of institutional integrity and legal compliance.
